Hardwood Floor Inspection FAQ

Where do I turn with my flooring problems?

  • I have issues with my floors that were installed. I can't get help from my installer or retail store.                      Set up an inspection and find out 'why' your floors are looking the way they are. Then you will have a documented written report with evidence of the cause of your claim, and who is at fault.

  •  I have 'gaps' between my floor boards that do not go away.                                                                                  Gaps that don't 'go away' are considered abnormal and getting an inspection will clarify if this condition is an installation, manufacturer's, or site related problem.
  • My floor looks bad, like each board is individually curling widthwise. I can see this when the light shines in.        This sounds like a cupping problem.  Cupping looks like your floor has a 'wash board' effect when the light shines in from the windows across the floor. Set up an inspection and I will find out why this is occurring and who is at fault.
  • My bamboo floor is separating and I when I walk it feels like it moves up and down.                                             This condition is serious and needs an inspection as soon as possible to avoid further damage.
